Born in Jacksonville, Florida Benny grew up singing country music until 1976 when he was miraculously saved. Immediately after joining the church Benny began to sing Gospel music in a quartet at his local church Harvest Baptist. He later joined First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida where he met his wife Linda. Later Benny formed the Glory Land Quartet, and sang bass for several years. He has also sung with other groups such as the Believers Quartet, Holy Ground Quartet and others. In the early 90's Benny moved his family to Saint Augustine, Florida where they still live today. Benny and Linda have 3 beautiful children 2 boys and 1 girl; they also have 3 granddaughters. Benny feels that God is moving in a great and mighty way, getting his people ready for the coming of the Lord. If we are ever going to reach the lost we had better do it now. Time is short.
Born in MacClenny, Florida, Sally was the youngest in a family of 13. Sally prayed to receive Christ at the age of 9 and grew up in church. Her Dad taught her to sing at a very young age. She loved singing with him and sang her very first solo in church when she was only 5 years old. She also sang with her sisters in a trio, and other groups such as the Rochester's Quartet. Sally later moved to Saint Augustine, Florida where she still lives with her husband Jerry. Sally has 2 sons and 5 grandchildren and still loves to sing. One Sunday morning while Sally was singing hymns in church, Linda was standing in front of her and heard her strong alto voice. She later told her husband Benny and they sat by her in the next service and liked what they heard. Benny asked Sally if she had ever sung in any groups before? She said yes, and Benny asked her if she like to sing with us in church, and you know the rest of the story. Yes Sally joined our group which was a duet and became a trio know as Beyond Calvary Trio. Born in Jacksonville, Florida Linda saved at a very young age. Linda grew up in church and loves singing. She has sung in duets, trios, quartets, sextets and choirs all her life. She graduated from Cumberland College with a degree in music and plays the piano. Linda has worked as music director in 1st and 2nd grade childrens choirs for a total of 23 years. At choir rehearsal at First Baptist Church one evening, Linda provided a music packet to a visitor, Benny Lyles, and just a few months later they were married. She has shared in all her husband's many experiences and adventures and has supported him for the past 30 years. Linda also assists with the gospel concerts doing whatever needs to be done. She travels and sings with her husband in the trio and loves Gospel music and serving Jesus.
